Lake Erie in Trouble Again

With a late summer heat wave, the algal bloom in the western end of Lake Erie has grown enormously, and it now reaches from the south shore in the U.S. to the north shore in Canada, and is expected to be the 3rd or 4th largest since 2002, according to NOAA.  This has attracted a great deal of media attention from the likes of the Toledo Blade, New York Times, and National Geographic.
